Promoting Well-being at ACP Internal Medicine Meeting 2025

The ACP Internal Medicine Meeting is a great place for learning, reconnecting with colleagues and having fun with your community.
— Alan Dow, MD, MSHA, Scientific Program Chair
During times of uncertainty and change, it is important to our personal and professional well-being to stay connected to others in our community of practice. Research has shown that is linked to general overall health: we've discussed in previous issues the value of building connections to so commonly experienced by physicians. ACP takes its role as a home for internal medicine physicians seriously, and, in the wake of sweeping and at times unsettling changes and many unknowns, ACP reaffirms its commitment to equity, compassion, inclusion, and justice.
In just a few short weeks, the ACP community will be coming together in New Orleans for Internal Medicine Meeting 2025. Based on input and feedback from our Well-being Champion (WBC) community, the ACP Professional Development and Fulfillment team has been hard at work over the past year creating a bigger and better Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) and enhancing the offerings at the Well-being Fun Zone. We can't wait to show you what we have in store to help enhance your well-being, build new communities, strengthen existing ones, and connect with colleagues outside of sessions by engaging in a variety of enjoyable and creative activities. At the Fun Zone, you can create your own recharge kit, participate in a variety of creative activities (including a community mural), take part in fun photo opportunities, collect vibrant ribbons, and enjoy some sweet treats. Don't forget to purchase a Physician Peer Coaching group or individual session all happening live at the CPDC—as a way to continue to build connections, create an action plan, and achieve meaningful change in a sustainable way. For all of our past, current, and recently nominated WBCs joining us in New Orleans, be sure to stop by the Fun Zone to check in with Jess or Crissy to receive your exclusive ACP WBC swag!

Be sure to join us, either in-person or virtually, next month at the ACP Internal Medicine Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, April 3 to 5, 2025!
