ACP's Healthcare Roundtable provides a forum for ACP and corporate leaders to discuss urgent issues affecting today's healthcare and patient care systems.
Drawn from a diverse cross-section of the business community, Roundtable members bring to the conversation a range of experience and a variety of perspectives on issues facing healthcare today. Regular meetings include ACP Governance and Staff Leadership and focus on accelerating innovation in medical education, improving practice and patient engagement, and other topics of shared interest.
ACP is among the largest and most prestigious specialty medical societies in the U.S., with more than 161,000 members organized in a network of 80 chapters. Seventy-one percent of ACP members spend the majority of their time in clinical practice. ACP members provide both primary care in internal medicine and subspecialty care in areas including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, rheumatology, hematology, oncology, nephrology, immunology, and infectious disease.
Key priorities for ACP include providing patient education and engagement information, promoting high value cost-conscious care, and improving the quality of medical practice through effective, engaging QI programs for clinical teams. ACP is also engaged in public policy and advocacy focused on improving healthcare.
At two live meetings a year, Roundtable members meet to discuss some of the most pressing issues affecting the healthcare system and patient care. Throughout the year, Roundtable members receive regular communications from ACP, including subscriptions to ACP publications: ACP Internist, ACP Hospitalist, and Annals of Internal Medicine.
Join the ACP Healthcare Roundtable to support programs that improve practice management, the delivery of healthcare, and patient health outcomes, and to combine your voice with internal medicine physicians and their patients nationwide.
