ACP Leadership Day on Capitol Hill
ACP’s annual national advocacy event, Leadership Day, will be held in 2025 onMonday, April 28 – Tuesday, April 29at the, located at 999 9thStreet, NW, in Washington, DC. Please mark your calendars so you can join us!
Leadership Day enables the College to increase its presence on Capitol Hill and advocate directly with Congress in support of legislation directly impacting internal medicine physicians and their patients. ACP members will receive in-depth briefings on the College’s legislative priorities and an opportunity to meet with elected officials.To help our members prepare for Leadership Day, we have developed afrequently asked questions(FAQs) document with logistical information for the event. The FAQs can be accessed.
Note that Leadership Day is being held earlier next year (in April) and on a Monday – Tuesday combination (not on Tuesday – Wednesday as is typical).
Register Now for Leadership Day 2025 - Deadline April 10
is now open for Leadership Day 2025. The event will include educational briefings, advocacy training, networking with ACP members from across the country, and an opportunity to meet with your members of Congress. A $99 registration fee will be charged to attendees at the time of registration, except for medical student members and resident/fellow in-training members, who will not be charged a registration fee. The deadline to register isThursday, April 10.
Make Your Hotel Reservations - Deadline April 3
A room block has been designated for Leadership Day attendees at the Westin Washington, DC Downtown hotel in Washington, D.C., located at 999 9thStreet, NW, at the discounted rate of $389 per night (there are two Westin hotels in that area so please use the address to ensure that you are at the correct Westin). Hotel reservations can be made online at:. Please ask for the “American College of Physician’s Leadership Day” event if you are making your reservation by phone. Advocates of Internal Medicine Network (AIMn)
Join colleagues in the in advocating for the interests of internal medicine in Washington, D.C. The AIMn program is for ACP members interested in participating in federal advocacy.
