EFT and ERA

Health plans pay claims through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network, sending the electronic funds transfer (EFT) and the electronic remittance advice (ERA) transmissions in different electronic formats, often at different times. This fact sheet helps practices understand how to reconcile these transactions to patients in accounts receivable systems.
